1. What do you expect to learn from this pod-casting project? (List as much as possible.)
- learn to convey complex message with limited vocabulary
- learn new vocabularies about the subject we are going to talk about
- learn to condense a lot of information into a short video
- learn to speak Japanese in a more casual, non-classroom setting
- learn video shooting and editing
- learn why other students are interested in learning Japanese (topic of our podcast)
2. What does "communication" mean to you?
Communication means the exchange of ideas and thoughts between two parties involved in the conversation. For our project, I think it means that we convey messages related to our topic to the audience who will watch the podcast. Effective communication requires accurate choice of vocabs and clear pronunciations and presentation. In the mean time, the video should be intriguing enough to keep the audience attention.
Interesting that you mention that the video needs to keep the audiences attention. I suppose you can't communicate much at all if the other party doesn't care enough.
